We shall survive.

Yesterday we the day from hell... It began with me waking students up... at 6 am... monitoring 210 students in the cafeteria by myself.. and during which dealing with an emergency when one of our female students went into seizures... I got things situated there... and after the ambulance left.. things just kept happening.. student review boards.. I was the chairperson.. we sent 6 home... dealing with the data center... various other things.. then I had to brace for food commodities.. where I take some of my students to senior center to help the elderly with carrying their food out to their vehicles... with 7 of my students.. then I had a doc appointment in the afternoon.. so lots of stuff.. finally got home about 6... and was very tired... despite all of that today was one of the most wonderful days I've had in a long time... It ended on a very happy note.. and all is right with the world again... I feel like bad things can happen.. and distract us from being happy... if we let them.. and it's okay to be mindful of things.. but we can't dwell on the bad.... we need to continue to live our lives as we want... and incorporate our insecurities... into just being cautious.. We all practice bad habits.. let our guard down... and are not completely ready for emergencies... but when they occur, we are generally ready to deal with them.. Yesterday taught me that... and even though life continues to throw things at me.. and my friends... we shall survive.

Everyone has an agenda.

How do we know how what repercussions will arise tomorrow from our actions.  I am atop my tower... watching the world from up here.. I see so much lies and deceit from up here.. I honestly do trust a few people now.. to a varying degree.. I just don't know when they can be sucked into a situation.. or do things they wouldn't normally do... based on misinformation.. or their perception.. I see so many people get tricked.. into making poor decisions.. People are gullible. The world is full of traps and deception. I think sometimes people get the idea that life is a game.. that dating requires intimacy... I see people start into online relationships.. and they figure that the first thing on the agenda is to explore the sexual chemistry... online relationships.. if they're truely ever going to mean anything.. need to be treated like real life.. you don't just jump into bed with someone you are just getting to know..  the online world.. moves at a much slower pace.. as far a...

Words are powerful instruments... the ones we use.. the way we say them... we can use words to hurt.. help.. or even distance ourselves from others.... My two least favorite words are fine... and whatever. VERY passive aggressive words... When I hear these words.. I almost always go defensive.. and get somewhat irritated... People say "fine"... when they mean... "no.. it's not ok... but I'm too pissed to argue.. but you better figure it out because I'm going to stay pissed"  ...and  "whatever" ...the meaning... pretty much the same... but just slightly more active... meaning.... I'm so pissed off right now at it that I can't think of a good argument.. but just the same.. you'll hear about this later.  I heard these words in some of my past relationships... but only when someone wanted me to know that ...I was wrong but they weren't going to argue it at that point.  Now..
