Do Something About It.

I haven't been as steady with my blogs as I have in the past... I guess there's just a lot of things that I post about and get out of my system. Still there is quite a bit in the way of opinions I have... whether that's a good thing or bad thing remains to be seen. I suppose there's always things we can talk about whether we feel an extreme amount of passion for them or not. For the most part, I think maybe I've gotten a bit lazy and am in such a good place I choose to just relax and not stir the pot.... but sometimes.. the pot needs to be stirred.. people need to have their thoughts provoked a bit. I don't like creating drama, but I still have an opinion and I'm going to share it with those people who want to read it.

I am fairly active on two sites at the moment.. one of which was recently hacked to the point where it is currently being rebuilt. My whole outlook is are people so freakin' desperate that they just want to cause problems?  I mean.. if someone were coming out with a financial gain.... I could at least understand it a bit better even if I didn't agree with it. But people nowadays seem to enjoy pushing other people's buttons. Why?  ...is their life that boring that they must turn to tearing down something constructive in order to get their jollies? It just goes to show the mentality this world is heading toward. Sometimes I get concerned for my daughters and the children they'll have to raise.  I know there has always been ignorance and hardships in the world.. but it seems as though the driving force now to the idiotic tendencies displayed by most is now ... "just because I can"   ...well.. just because you reside on this planet doesn't give you any special privileges beyond what anyone else deserves. Sure... we all get bored at times.. we all go through curiosity phases in which we do things to experiment... but at some point people need to grow up. There is so much widespread immaturity that it seems sometimes there is no hope for our future generations.  Have we just become a society so lazy that we have all this free time. It seems like most people don't want to work now.. they just want things handed to them.. or only to do the things they choose to do.. and then they wonder why they have it so hard.  Each of us needs to take a hard look at ourselves and ask.. "am I really working on making my life better?  ...or am I just concerned with making things easier... don't confuse the two... easier isn't always better. Most kids these days don't get inundated with the moral stories of what we grew up with.. The Three Little Pigs for instance... we learn that if you want to play and just do a half-assed job of building your house... you might get eaten.. same with the Ant and the Grasshopper... play all summer long and don't get prepared for the winters of life.. and you won't be able to make it.  No one seems to care anymore.. maybe we've just heard it so much that we don't pay attention to it anymore.  There are so many people who will get rich quick... and then all these other people think ... I can do that.. sure there is some luck involved.. but the chances of getting rich quick are very slim... I would love to see something like that happen to me.. I still buy lottery tickets when I have extra money.. but there are people who will put off something important to spend the money on lottery tickets... or cigarettes.. or something that isn't a need.. but a want.. then they get concerned when they don't have enough money to make it.  Well.. get up off your ass and do something... anything... at least make an effort. It's sad to see so much complacency in the world.. If you want to see a change in your life.. do something about it.
